Explore our range of FITLEGS Medical-grade compression stockings and Anti-Embolism Stockings (AES) for men and women. Available in a range of sizes, and styles such as thigh-length, below-knee and tights, they’re ideal for people recovering from surgery or illness, or with restricted mobility. Specially designed medical socks for swollen feet and improved circulation help prevent DVT, varicose veins, lymphoedema and other issues.
The FITLEGS AES range also offers a grip version which provides enhanced grip on the sole to give extra confidence and help reduce the risk of falls during injury rehabillitation and for those with reduced mobility. Available in a wide range of sizes, styles and colours. Explore our full range of FITLEGS medical compression stockings below.
Our AES medical compression stockings are available as open and closed toe versions for your convenience. Made from cotton and with no latex, these medical socks can be worn by anyone, and the four-way stretch in the material helps with easier application and increased comfort for long-term wear.
What level of compression do medical stockings come in?
Medical compression stockings have a higher level of compression than regular compression socks. For example our Fitlegs 2 range has a compression level of 23-32 mmHg whereas our standard AES range has a compression level of 18mmHg.
What are the benefits of FITLEGS® AES Medical Grade compression socks?
Increased circulation to improve blood flow
Less elastane means they’re easier to wear and more comfortable
Available in multiple variations for all shapes, sizes and requirements
Universal fit – No Left and Right needed
Available with Grip Soles for increased confidence
Are Anti-Embolism Stockings the same as compression socks?
Yes and no. Everyday compression socks and medical compression stockings share the same design features and work in the same way. They both provide graduated compression from the ankle up the leg to increase circulation and reduce the symptoms of DVT, oedema and other aches and pains. However, FITLEGS Anti-Embolism Stockings conform to the Sigel compression profile, specifically developed to reduce the incidence of DVT in patients with significantly restricted mobility in hospitals and immediately after discharge. Typically Anti-Embolism Stockings are worn post-surgery in hospital whereas standard compression stockings are typically worn for everyday use and prevention.
